Ghetto Fabulous or Fabulously Ghetto?

Filed under: General — mack @ 11:37 pm

This is a remote control car (looks like a Chrysler 300M) that has lights in the 22” rims. The trunk opens and you can put your IPOD in it and it plays music.

Ok. Now this is something that had to go up. I want feedback on this one. As much as I was impressed and “entertained” so to speak, I am a little disturbed. Is this the state of America, where even the toys are geared towards unreal opulance?

The kid in me was laughing and the techie in me was impressed. The man in me wanted to turn my head. I don’t think, if I had kids, that I would want them to play with this toy. This is an outlandish display of RAP VIDEOS GONE BAD! When the toys become an extension of BET Uncut, I have to draw the line. It was pretty cool still…

I’m torn, let me know what you guys think.

St. John’s University - The Field House?

Filed under: General — mack @ 7:23 am

In this day and age, my old stomping ground has shocked me yet again. Even with the tremendous African-American and Caribbean population, they have erected a building of bad taste. To name a building The Field House, be it oversight or not is in bad taste… The name field house references plantations and slavery no matter the context it’s placed in. I’m SHOCKED there hasn’t been more of an outcry…

Uh oh… We have a podcast launching soon. Don’t tell me this… We want people to be more involved in their interactive media. Just keep the volume on 5 or less…

Back From ATL…

Filed under: General — mack @ 1:58 pm

I’m back from HOTlanta, Georgia with a hangover and a story to tell… I think this had to be the best New Year’s/Vacation ever. I LOVE that city. Atlanta was so welcoming and inviting and the amount of NY’ers there was a little overwhelming.

The women are beautiful and FRIENDLY, the climate is jacket optional and the eating is well southern love. I do love that Waffle House and that Chick-Fil-A. Whew….

I see why I met about four people who went down there once, came back and packed their bags. Truly an amazing city. It’s NOT NY, but it is a wonderful place to have a second home. Thanks Atlanta…

Oh, Yea… Happy Birthday DJ DakCom
